A couple of weeks ago I saw the Goo Goo Dolls and Switchfoot.  An incredible concert.  Made better by the fact that I was in the 3rd row, center!

First of all let me say that I’m a huge Switchfoot fan.  Thanks to my kids, who liked them five years ago.  We had the first CD at home and then I bought the second one too.  They are so cool in concert.  The lead singer comes across as a very mellow surfer from San Diego.  A guy I would really like to hang out with some time.  My kids saw there concert five years ago in Denver and did not think they performed well at all.  I was somewhat apprehensive, but had to check it out for myself.  I was so glad I did!  They were awesome!   Many incredible songs.  Stars was awesome, as were many other tunes.

As you know, I am a huge fan of Collective Soul, a band that had a similar number of hits as Switchfoot, but 15 years ago.  Unfortunately CS these days struggles when they perform.  I have seen them 5 times in the last 3 years but they really are hit and miss.  The singer of Swithcfoot is in his prime.  They may have another 10 years of great live performances.  I hope so!  I plan to see them many more times.

OK, so I really liked the Goo Goo Dolls too!  A great live band!
