OK, many of my friends know that I was fortunate see Jimi Hendrix at a very young age.  It was my first concert at 15.  My friend Keith was as senior and he had a car and a license.  He also had tickets to the concert at the Berkeley Community Theater on May 30th 1970.

Where do I begin?  What is even crazier is that the DVD of the concert is for sale, and I own it!  OMG!!!!!!

Don’t get me wrong the Woodstock performance is Awesome!  However, this DVD is better musically.  The sound quality is much better and the performance is all Jimi.  Hea really nailed this one.

OK, I love SRV,  Love SRV!!!!!!  However, tonight I was watching my Austin City Limits DVD of SRV.  WOW!!! One of his best for sure!!!  I was watching his Voodoo Child rendition and was totally blown away!!!  Then I watched the master Jimi do it on the Berkeley DVD and I must say, it is really difficult to cover Hendrix.   It is really SRV paying tribute I think.  I am at peace with that.  It doesn’t matter, I love ‘em both!!
