OK, my Green Chili recipe takes awhile to prepare, however this quick recipe can be done in a little over a half hour. Like most chili, it just gets better the longer it simmers.
Ingredients:
4 Cans Ranch Beans w/ Jalapeños (you can use beans w/o jalapenos for less heat)
2lbs Ground Turkey (ground beef works well too, I prefer turkey)
2tsp. Minced Garlic (I use the jar version)
1-2tbsp. Chili powder (start with one, and add according to taste)
- 1 Medium yellow onion, chopped
In a big pot, saute the onion and garlic in oil (i use olive oil). When the onion becomes clear, add in the turkey and brown. Add in one tablespoon of chili powder and then the four cans of beans. Add in a tablespoon of chili powder, stir in and taste. Add more if you like more. You can easily add more heat with Sriracha, or minced jalapeños.
Serve with tortilla chips and green salad with avocado and cilantro lime dressing. Pair with a Grand Teton Brewing – Pale Ale . Yum!
